This is a vintage white porcelain ashtray decorated with a gold rim, promentant blue flowers with green leaves, and gold word "Garmisch".  The shape of this ashtray has interesting organic oval shape that nods to a and nods to a mid-century modern (MCM) style.  The back of this item has the makers mark of Plankenhammer Floss Bavaria and identifies it as made in Germany.  Based on the backstamp and history of the company, this ashtry was made sometime between 1928 - 1974.  This speical porcelain ashtray would make an excellent jewelry dish, trinket dish, or catchall tray.
