Description

This Belleek lidded jar was produced in Ireland between 1980 and 1993 and features the intricate New Shell pattern.

Made from Belleek’s creamy Parian porcelain, the jar showcases fine shell and coral reliefs, scalloped edges, and a coral-branch finial lid.

Finished in a soft ivory glaze with a lustrous sheen, it bears the 7th mark on the base, confirming its late 20th-century origin.

The Parian porcelain is lightweight and feels delicate, but it is exceptionally durable.

Originally used as a biscuit jar, to store dough as it is rising before making biscuits, this lidded jar would make an exceptional decor item in the living room, on a console table, or even on a bathroom counter.
